Triumphantly home
Gallivanting across Europe is over for now. It’s been around four months since I last stepped foot on American soil: a turn of expression, for sand dune-Florida has very little soil.
This past week has been a blur of museums, famous sights and long lines. I have been so busy touristing it up in Paris and London that my internet presence has been severely lacking as of late.
I am not sure...
Maybe stuck in London? →
Melting snow shorted out the train going to Paris. Or something like that. It’s better than an old excuse they gave involving pigeon poop. People were stuck in the chunnel for 16 hours. Thousands are affected.
General confusion as to the status of Eurostar. Their website is very vague. We leave tomorrow morning to hopefully sort it all out.

I am in London with my lovely girlfriend! I will write more once I am done doing London things!

Mad Dash
I am on a time crunch. I only have two more days to find someone to take my bed so I can get my security deposit back. The chances of that happening are slim.
I also need to start washing clothes so they can be dry and packed by the time I leave Saturday morning. The chances of my clothes being totally dry before leaving are also slim.
Not all news is bad, though. My girlfriend is here and life...
Excited to see her again
I can’t sleep. It’s like Christmas. I will be seeing my girlfriend so very soon.
Less than four hours. Her plane touches ground around 7:00am. Scratch that, the flight is an hour late. So painfully close.
Technology is amazing. This is where her plane is, accurate within a few minutes.
We will stay in Dublin for a week, until my final classes are through. Then we are headed...

Well, there goes the day
Woke up with “eat my tunes!” branded across my right arm in eyeliner: a small initiation from the radio/media students.
It seems the group shares my fondness for Goldschläger and American punk music.
After the pub stopped serving drinks, we tried to find a taxi to continue the fun at someone’s house. During the wait I decided I needed to find a bathroom. What started off as...
Sorry I left all the Irish Kids
Hope they had an epic night without me. Sorry to outright sprint.

A little Liberty venting
The Liberty was printed and waiting for me once I got to class. It was the second and final issue of the semester.
Based on the October issue, the December issue was about what I expected. Therefore, I wasn’t really that disappointed.
Let me vent anyways.
Instead of using original photographs, we often settled for stock photos and those stolen from the world wide web.
I had taken some...

Done with you
Well, I finished my Irish cultural studies paper faster than I thought I would. I have about thirty minutes until class starts.
After an embarrassing session of German class (I tend to freeze up when asked even the most simple of questions), I ran into one of the Irish media students from my documentary class. I tend to run into people when I have not showered or slept.
She is one of my...
Having trouble finding a theme I enjoy. And there’s no way in hell I’m making my own.
Dublin and Gainesville are around the same temperature right now. It’s really hard to explain to people that not all of Florida falls under the sunshine state slogan — in temperature or attitude.
I realized after finishing my 3,500 word essay that I had answered a different question than my chosen prompt. Luckily, one of the other instructor created prompts fit my essay like a glove.
Film: Oldboy
I decided to take a break from editing my school papers. What better way than watching a Korean film I have waiting for me on my hard drive?
Oldboy is a revenge drama akin to The Count of Monte Cristo (which is referenced in the film) mixed with some Greek tragedy and 21st century violence. I think the word visceral was highlighted in a review during a trailer for the film. I would have to...
Have you met Ted?
Two nights of partying interspersed with a lot of research and paper writing: The boiled down college life.
Friday night was a going away party for the Dutch girl, which was themed “come dress in unnecessary accessories/hats/wigs.” Context clues tells you that the earlier posted photo of the Americans wearing funny hats is from that night.
Last night was a joint birthday party...

Broken Links
Now that I am abandoning my old blog, leaving it to slowly starve and die on remote servers on the world wide web, I am thinking about how it will decline in the upcoming years.
In light of this morbid thought, I was inspired to search for other websites that still hold evidence of my old internet self.
After a Google search, I found floating around in cyberspace remnants of my old Tripod...
